Why this exists
Accurate, complete school news
Students feel it when dates are wrong or missing. We keep calendars, results, and announcements current so you can trust what you see.
Fast corrections
When schedules shift or results are misposted, we update quickly and surface the latest info.
All clubs and teams
If it matters to students, it belongs here. If your event is missing, add it.
School-specific answers
Teachers, classes, and campus questions are local. The blog feed lets students ask and get answers from peers.
How it works
Powered by student submissions
Every student can contribute, which is how the site is run. Post a blog, submit a spotlight, or send a news tip. Upvotes highlight the most helpful responses.
Blogs + Q&A
Ask any question, get quick answers from classmates, and upvote the best info.
Spotlights + recognition
Share accomplishments from clubs, teams, and students who deserve the spotlight.
News from anyone
Students can submit articles and announcements, and we post quickly so coverage reflects the whole school.
How we compare
What makes The Warrior Voice different?
We complement official channels and student journalism by staying open, fast, and inclusive.
OCHS website
The site is wonderful for finding information on OCHS, but it doesn't serve as a source for fast news and connecting with other students. We are student ran, while the OCHS website is staff ran. We also update daily, while the OCHS website updates very rarely. We recommend to use the OCHS website for official school information and other important news!
OC Tapestry
The OC Tapestry is an extraordinary resource and newspaper! The Warrior Voice is a seperate function. We provide blogs, fast updates, events, dates, ect. They get into the real depth of school life while we just tell you the raw main info. We highly recommend to go see the Tapestry to really see OC!
Why contribute
Build real experience
Publishing or organizing content shows leadership and initiative. Add your name to posts to document your impact.
Own your work
By publishing content onto the Warrior Voice with your name, colleges will see that you contributed to a news site by either writing a blog, an article, an event, add, ect! Colleges aboslutely love to see this.
Run the newsroom
Every visit, post, and share keeps Warrior Voice run by students - each and every one. To keep information as accurate and fast as possible, we want every student to contribute. Is there an event for your club and team that can't be found? Add it! Simply by using the Warrior Voice you are having partial ownership in running a new school website and newspaper. This is once again great for college.
